Job Purpose (State in one sentence the overall objective of the role)
Responsible for gathering and analysis of market data for gaining competitive advantage on market dynamics. Develops and executes methodologies and proposals to better understand customers/consumer fundamental needs. Interpret market data and customer/consumer insights into brand strategies to gain market competitive advantage
Major Accountabilities (Describe the 5-7 main results of the role to be achieved )
Partner with PMs (Product Manager) to identify information gaps, validate insights and manage market data
Define/structure and project manage primary research studies in line with industry standards
Synthesize and communicate to Marketing Team and Sales the findings of Market Research (MR) from activities driven by the Marketing Team
Contribute to the translation of MR findings into insights for the Marketing Team
Integrate insights from MR studies with those from BA/CI to give a single, consolidated view of the market. Structure this within the Companie`s standard output format and disseminate to key stakeholders
Develop creative approaches to understand customer/consumer attitudes and behaviours
Develop and deliver effective communication through:
- Succinct and effective presentations
- Confident and effective facilitation of discussions with groups at all levels
- Consistently display speak-up mentality
- Challenging the status quo appropriately
Manages vendor interactions by:
- Providing clear written project briefs which have been approved internally by key stakeholders
- Focusing efforts to maximize quality and timely execution of the project within the agreed budget
Ensure outputs of research are in line with agreed brief
Ensure choice of preferred agency is based on objective assessment and in line with Novartis guidelines
In collaboration with Marketing Team develop and execute MR plan
Key interfaces/key teams include: Global Marketing Team, local PMs, internal & external key stakeholders
